Above Moschato is Tsardaki, a region with excellent views of Lake and plain. Here, in the years of the Late Ottoman domination, the “Agrafa Bouleuterion” met. Today it is one of the best stations to get to know the local cuisine. Village of the wine-growing zone, it owes its name to the variety of grape musk. It has wine, beautiful taverns in the village, the Hydroelectric Plant and Tsardaki.

From the picturesque village square with the beautiful traditional cafes-taverns that can prepare everything for the visitor, we start east on a paved road to the central asphalt that we meet at 120 meters where the bus stop is located. We follow it right / southeast, slightly uphill for 250 meters until the right turn where the cemetery of the village is located. Here we come out of the village, leaving the way to go downhill along a narrow path that leads us to a dirt road that we follow to the right between sparse forest and meadows. 500 meters further down we meet the bed of the Keramida stream that holds water for most of the time. We pass across from a small bridging. We turn left into the wooded path uphill for a few tens of meters to reunite between forests and meadows. We meet the stream bed again and walk alongside it with plane trees and fir trees. We slowly leave the bank of the stream to walk on the path that crosses forests and meadows. We enter a forest road that we follow for about 130 meters downhill until it ends up in a fountain drowned in the plane trees. From here we turn right / northeast into the forest and after walking a narrow wooded ridge for a few dozen meters we pass a small stream. Opposite we go up to a meadow with an old little open water tank and after circling small meadows we enter an alley that then passes through a fencing. Opposite we go back to a road which, after repeated turns and about 900 meters, makes us asphalt on the south side of the small (rehabilitation) lake. Right at 600 meters is the main asphalt that goes up from the town of Karditsa to Moschato.
The route can also be uphill starting from the small lake with a return from the same. For the starting point we follow the road from Metropolis to Moschato. The small lake is located 1700 meters from the Branch in the Metropolis where we follow the road to Moschato

Chalikaki – Koykoyrgiakos peak Easy
Marking: blue circle in yellow square code B10-A
Length: 1.9 km
Runtime: 1: 00h, return 0: 45h
Total climb / descent: + 250m / -50m.
Starting point: Chalikaki Hill (altitude 820m) 39 18 27.61N 21 47 16.78E
Termination: Koukourgakos peak (elevation 1015m) 39 17 47.08N 51 47 23.78E

From Chalikaki, you can climb to the easy and beautiful Kokoyrgiakos peak, following the blue circle marking on a yellow square that passes southwest across the meadow as shown by an informative directional sign. Opposite the meadow, we pass a little right from a small pillar and cross the dirt road vertically. We climb straight to the south-east in a meadow leaving a cottage on our left. We enter a forest and climb up the catchment of Founis and see Lake Plastiras. Continue slightly downhill and pass through a stream to climb the opposite slope to the dense mixed oak and chestnut forest. The climb becomes more intense and after a few zigzags we go left to cross the bed of a small stream. Opposite we turn right, uphill and meet a forest road. We pass it vertically and after thirty meters we turn left to the slope that leads us to an oak-ridged ridge. We are heading east to follow the uphill ridge into the dense oak forest and at 300 meters we reach the top of the hill at the edge of a meadow. From here we have an amazing view of the lake and the opposite mountain peaks, with the most characteristic of the ridge of the Aphrodite. Particularly impressive are the pictures in the winter when the trail has little or no snow and it is possible to climb and gaze at the snowy lake and the surrounding mountains. The slope of the ground allows for relatively easy ascent when the snow does not exceed 40 cm.

Moschato –Tsardaki (Path down to Korona Monastery) Easy
Marking:  red circle in yellow square / code B9
Length: 2,1 km
Runtime: 0: 50h, return 0: 40h
Total climb / descent: + 420m / 60m.
Starting point: Moschato square (altitude 425m) 39 19 10.13N 21 47 35.45E
Termination: position Tsardaki (altitude 780m) 39 18 39.32N 21 46 38.86E

From the village square we walk the road in the west direction. At 70 meters we follow a branch to the left and we reach 180 meters in a small square with platan and tap. We turn left / south and the road leads us through a forest with large trees that brings us to a riverbed. We leave the road and enter a path that ascends elsewhere more smoothly and elsewhere uphill. We reach a hill with more sparse trees, mostly oak trees. Next to the path, we see a pile of stones. We are in the “pile of the dead,” as it was called the point of an old story of a victim of rivalry. On our right, high, we can see the monastery of Korona. To visit it, we follow the asphalt road that we meet as soon as we get out of a meadow with a stone faucet. For the Korona monastery we walk right / north following the asphalt road for 400 meters. For the Tsardaki location, we walk across the street and go up another 150 meters to a dirt road to a small chapel. 100 meters further down the asphalt road is the tavern in Tsardaki.
